Getting there
The ferry from Moskenes to Værøy takes about 1h20. Schedules can be checked at https://entur.no/ using "Moskenes ferjekai" and "Værøy" as departure and destination. From the ferry dock in Værøy, it's a 4km flat walk (or drive) to the starting point of the hike.

Information about the hike
This hike on Værøy gives you a great overview of the island. In clear weather, you will be rewarded with stunning views at many spots during the hike. There are many oppurtunities for a picnic with a wonderful view after reaching the Nato station.
This hike can be done comfortably in 3h30 with breaks, but if you have to wait a long time for the ferry still and the weather is nice, it's better to prolong the hike with more breaks rather than going back to the village early.
You can also optionally climb the Hornet peak where the track takes a left turn on the ridge and instead go right. Adding Hornet peak to your hike will prolong it with about 35 minutes. Adding 700 meters distance and 150 meters ascend and descend.
