Information about the hike
This hike starts very close to the highest bus stop on the Vitosha mountain. The starting point of this hike is located between Hotel Moreni and Aleko Hut.
During the descend to the Simeonovo district, which is at the foot of the mountain, you will walk through a beautiful pine forest. As you descend further down, the vegetation will change as the climate gets less cold. This hike can also be done in winter, but snowshoes are highly recommended.
The ending point of this hike, as suggested in the GPS track, is at a bus stop in Simeonovo. Bus line 98 which passes there quite frequently can take you to the Vitosha metro station.
Getting back
