Getting there
Bus 64 can take you to Boyana, where the hike begins. The route can be consulted on https://www.eway.bg/en/cities/sofia/routes/99. The schedules are most up to date on https://schedules.sofiatraffic.bg/autobus/64. Be sure to select the correct direction. This is "Зоопарка - Център по хигиена" when you take the bus at (or close to) the Zoo park. Note that one of the stops is right next to Vitosha metro station. In Cyrillic this is "МЕТРОСТАНЦИЯ ВИТОША".

Information about the hike
This public transport friendly hike close to Sofia is mainly going uphill. If you prefer to descend, the hike can also be undertaken in reverse direction.
Pathfinding on this hike is very easy and the Kamen Del hut provides the perfect location for a rest once you've completed most of the ascend. The hut is operational all year round and provides soup and usually also other food options.
The photos of this hike are taken in winter, but this hike can be done in any season.
Getting back
Bus 63 takes you from Zlatni Mostove to Sofia. The route can be consulted on https://www.eway.bg/en/cities/sofia/routes/188. The schedules are most up to date on https://schedules.sofiatraffic.bg/autobus/63. Be sure to select the correct direction though, more specifically "Златните мостове (Витоша) - бул. Цар Борис III".
