Information about the hike
This hike on the ecopath of Chepun mountain takes you to its peak, the Petrovski Krust. It's a nice half day activity near the town Dragoman, fairly close to Sofia. The mountain rises up from a fairly flat landscape, granting you panoramic views over the Dragoman area. A nice mix of flowers are thriving next to the ecopath during spring and early summer, as shown on the information board at the start of the walk.
It can get quite windy on this trail, so be prepared with some wind-blocking clothes. There is a small chapel on the peak, but do not expect to be able to go inside for shelter as it can be locked.
